In the transport sector, groupage is characterised by the regrouping of goods from several customers in a truck (or container, in maritime or intermodal transport) with the aim of avoiding avehicle running half-empty to transport the goods of a single customer.

How does clustering work?

Groupage in freight transport is very simply the grouping of several shipments, which leave or arrive at the same destinations. The products, belonging to different shippers, are grouped in one and the same truck.
